Well here is the other new toy this trip

This is a 510 Whisper Encore, It shoots a 750 grain Hornady AMAX at 1050fps SUPPRESSED it sounds about like a 22 short and packs a very big whollap, I also have some 685grain custom SubSonic HP I shoot. The round is based on a cut down 338 Lapua and turned on a Lathe to make the neck. Rifle good for about 500 yards.

Lucky for me Mississippi has been Class3 NFA legal for several years now. I also do most of the NFA items in our local gunshop, which is a nice thing on my days off, when not dealing with everything else going on. Anybody in Mississippi can own a full auto and/or suppressed just have to go thru the paperwork on it.

2 Form 4's
2 Fingerprint cards
2 passport photos
Local LE chief sign off
$200 tax stamp
and of course the transfer fee

All that goes to NFA branch of ATF and wait very very very patiently on the run of the forms, normally around 2 months to come back. Then go pick up your new toy. Most states allow folks to have them. It is not something your average person wants to do.

For example a transferable M16 starts out at about $15,000. A Ruger 556 runs around $6,500-$7,000 when you can find them. So it is not for the faint of heart. I know where a Browning BAR was at and sold for $40,000. Of course you can get a minigun for about $175,000 for those with some Bill Gates money.

Suppressors are alot less expensive to play with, the can run anywhere from about 600 up to 1500. I have 2 suppressed Ruger 77/44 we are doing now at SRT and they are almost Hollywood quiet, You can reload 240gr XTP in 44mag brass down to 1050 fps and the last few we done would group 1 inch at 100 yards and less noise that a pellet rifle. It is nice to shoot without hearing protect.

Sorry long version, I like the NFA stuff alot, wtg in case you might not have noticed jive

full auto`s are expensive there fellers..in `96 when we had to hand ours in a colt m16 got us $2400 australian ...from memory of those times that would have been about $1700 us. ..fn fal/l2a1 was $2400 aust. things like m60`s and old gattling guns from earlier years that collectors had were valued individually. a full auto ak47 was about $800 aust....the list goes on..if it had a barrel over 16 inches it was legal here where i am..in 3 states actually..no questions asked, and none answered if they were asked!.silencers were legal, they offered us $100 aust for them at the buy back...i told `em i didnt have any!! you got to remember these prices were for full auto..semi auto`s were a lot cheaper still...and ALL of these weapons were melted down..now maybe you can start to understand why i get on my soap and tell you all to fight for your rights while you can..i know the republicans are supposed to be pro gun there but if it ever suits them they will sell you all out like happened to us..there are about 22 million australians and back in the 1980`s i read a report in the paper where our police minister said it was estimated that for every australian it was thought there are about 3 firearms...thats was a lot of guns to defend this country with if we were ever invaded, and no registration in 3 states, so no nazi`s knocking on the door aka europe in the 1940`s and saying.." [ THE RECORDS SHOW THAT YOU HAVE X NUMBER OF FIREARMS, HERE ARE THE SERIAL NUMBERS..HAND `EM OVER OR WE KILL YOUR FAMILY THEN WE KILL YOU" ...now if we`re invader we would have to hand them over. every police station has the name and address of every gun owner stored on their computers and the make and serial number so they only have to capture ONE police station to find out what they want. soap sorry about ranting on again fellers.....aaaaarrrrrrgggggghhhhhhaaaaa!!!!! i want to migrate or invent a time machine or something!!..just look after your rights before its too late to look after them, once they are gone you wont get them back..

Great advice, I'm surprised you don't migrate. It would be hard to take.
