If things still the same as when myself and Randy was out there. You can look at anything from 10 yards to as far as the eye can see. On the average was around 150-400 would say, cause with the DOG SLED you can just move around real easy like.
We had to conserve our ammo as we did not take enough,

We went through about 5000 rounds total in 3 days. We were shooting 17hmr, 17mach2, 22, 223, 6mm, 6.5x284. Think I probable left something out thou.

The most was 17hmr and 223. Man what a time it was. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE TRIP.
Thoughts on going myself would be a nice 17hmr with at least 2000 rounds, you can stretch out to 400yards with it believe it or not. Something 223 of course, ammo use to be fairly cheap. At least 1000 rounds. And anything else you fancy of course, to test your skills.

Now that is for each person going now.
One thing to note, is done in our parts the elevation is only around 300 ft above sea level. Up there you are going to have to re-zero rifle on the first day as there elevation is around 4800 ft. It does make a difference.
We stayed at the Comfort Inn there in Clovis, It was nice and they had outside entry so could take things in at night to prepare for the next day some. We would meet Kevin in the morning at the coffee shop and drive out each day, it is a nice little drive very scenic. One thing to note here is when you get there you will be on Mountain Time, did not realize that until we got there.
Well I could go on and on about how nice it is out there. Next time around got to plan a little more time for extra sight seeing.
